Job summary

The Ranch at Dove Tree in Lubbock, Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care and supervise LPNs, CNAs, and other staff on the unit. You will assess and develop plans of care, document medical records, and educate clients and families while ensuring safety.

On-site opportunity with a supportive interdisciplinary team. RN license, CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required; experience in behavioral health is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• One or more years’ nursing experience in clinical area preferred.
• Behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery experience preferred.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and administration procedures.
• Ability to apply nursing standards in an acute psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs and developing care plans.
• Maintains medical records and educates clients and families about conditions.
• Obtains and documents provider orders accurately; transcribes orders per policy.
• Administers medications with two identifiers and monitors effects.
• Notifies providers of significant changes and communicates with treatment team.
