Job summary

KPC GLOBAL MEDICAL CENTERS INC. seeks an Admitting Representative to register patients, explain hospital policies, and handle inquiries with professional service. You will document accurate demographic and financial data in the ADT system and identify payor sources for revenue during the stay.

The role reports to the Admitting Manager and serves patients across adolescent, adult, and geriatric groups, requiring strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Current BLS required within 30 days of employment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient in Windows environment.
• Ability to multitask, work independently and be team oriented.
• Medical terminology or demonstrated proficiency.
• Full command of the English language.
• Physical abilities including heavy lifting and perceptive acuity.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients in a pleasant, professional and timely manner.
• Interviews patients/guarantors and explains hospital policies.
• Handles routine patient inquiries related to registration.
• Ensures demographic and financial data are accurately documented in ADT.
• Identifies payor source for routing of revenue during stay.
• Reports to the Admitting Manager and interacts with patient groups.
