NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat medically complex pediatric patients from birth to 21 years with feeding and swallowing disorders on acute care floors. You will work in our Cardiac NICU and Level IV NICU and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care.

This role requires weekday availability with weekend flexibility (minimum 2 days per month, plus two holidays).

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • ASHA Certification required.
  • New York State Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • 2+ years of pediatric feeding and swallowing evaluation/treatment in an acute care setting required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat medically complex pediatric patients birth to 21 with feeding/swallowing disorders on acute care floors.
  • Care for critically ill patients in Cardiac NICU and Level IV NICU.

This is a per-diem position for both weekdays and weekends. Must have some weekday availability and flexibility to work weekends — minimum of 2 days per month, and covering two holidays.

Additional weekday availability is preferred.

Preferred Criteria
  • Competency in Modified Barium Swallow Studies with pediatrics.
  • Experience working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
  • Experience working with Trach/Vent pediatric patients.
  • Experience working with complicated cardiac, GI and ENT diagnoses.
Required Criteria
  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certification by the American Speech and Hearing Association.
  • New York State Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • 2+ years’ experience evaluating/treating pediatric feeding and swallowing in an acute care setting.
