Job summary

Mercy Health in Michigan is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist/Registration to support patient care across the main hospital, outpatient lab draw stations, and off-site clinics. The candidate should have a high school diploma, a Michigan driver’s license, and about six months of phlebotomy experience; ASCP certification is preferred with a plan to obtain

Phlebotomist/Registration: Working in a single assigned work area, provides specimen collection, registration and processing services to patients in the main hospital, outpatient lab draw stations, and mental health and skilled nursing facilities at off-site locations and clinics. High volume work, 50% of duties involve computer utilization with targets to meet. Provides clerical support to the Pathology Department and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma. Valid Michigan driver's license.
• ASCP certification for Phlebotomy (must obtain certification within one year of hire) preferred.
• Six months Phlebotomy experience required, including experience from school.
• Must be able to type 40 words per minute.
