3rd Shift Per Diem Inpatient Phlebotomist

Job summary

Trinity Health in Grand Rapids is seeking a phlebotomist for a part-time night shift to support our hospital and affiliated clinics. Flexible scheduling after training is complete, with 4-hour shifts M-F and every third weekend.

You will perform specimen collection, registration, and processing in high-volume settings and provide clerical support to the Pathology Department. We value candidates with phlebotomy experience and ASCP certification (preferably within the first year).

Qualifications

• Six months phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Availability for early shifts (as early as 4 am) on 1st shift.
• Willingness to work four-hour shifts M-F and every third weekend.
• Training on 1st shift M-F for up to 8 weeks.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• ASCP certification for Phlebotomy preferred; must obtain within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Working in a single assigned work area.
• Provides specimen collection, registration and processing services to patients at hospital and off-site locations.
• High volume duties with substantial computer utilization and performance targets.
• Provides clerical support to the Pathology Department.

• High volume work, 50% of duties involve computer utilization with targets to meet.




• Provides clerical support to the Pathology Department and other duties as assigned.
