Job summary

The University of Wisconsin DoIT seeks a collaborative PeopleSoft Systems Administrator to support ERP infrastructure and operations across the UW enterprise in a fixed-term capacity.

This role emphasizes automation, standardization, and cross-team collaboration, enabling enterprise-wide services. It requires strong communication, problem-solving, and a willingness to work outside regular hours as needed.

Qualifications

• 5 years preferred experience with Oracle PeopleSoft ERP.
• Experience configuring and maintaining PeopleSoft ERP software.
• Ability to diagnose and solve complex problems with application and database infrastructure.
• Experience writing technical documentation and communicating with non-technical customers.
• Ability to translate complex concepts into accessible language for users.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design, development, and implementation of test and production objects.
• Define user requirements and perform configuration, change management, and testing activities.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system problems that involve ERP system-wide functionality.
• Create and update access permissions and maintain user accounts to ensure ERP security.
• Recommend and participate in ERP system enhancements or changes (custom, optional, third-party).
• Plan, coordinate, and implement system-wide updates, upgrades, and patches for ERP systems.
• Design, configure, monitor, and maintain performance metrics and take corrective actions.
