Job summary

Sigil Partners is seeking a PeopleSoft Functional Analyst / Product Owner for Billing and Accounts Receivable. The role blends functional analysis with Agile product ownership to support finance operations and system improvements.

You will work with Finance, Accounting, and technology teams to define requirements, prioritize delivery, and ensure accurate financial transactions via PeopleSoft modules. Hybrid work across GA/AL with periodic travel may apply.

PeopleSoft Functional Analyst / Product Owner – Billing & Accounts Receivable

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a PeopleSoft professional with strong knowledge of Billing and Accounts Receivable to connect business needs with practical system solutions. This position combines functional analysis, stakeholder collaboration, and Agile product ownership to support day-to-day financial operations and system improvements.

Candidates with a functional analyst background are encouraged to apply; a previous Product Owner title is not required.

What You’ll Do

• Work with Finance, Accounting, and technology teams to understand business priorities and define system requirements.
• Provide functional expertise across invoicing, receivables, cash application, collections, adjustments, and accounting.
• Translate business requests into documented requirements and help prioritize delivery.
• Investigate processing issues, support reconciliations, and help maintain accurate financial transactions.
• Collaborate with developers and integration teams on system changes and data exchanges.
• Support the flow of transactions between PeopleSoft Billing, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger.
• Help plan and execute testing, validate results, and support production changes.
• Document processes, share system knowledge, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Participate in Agile planning and delivery activities within a SAFe environment.

What You’ll Bring

• Substantial hands‑on functional experience with PeopleSoft Billing and Accounts Receivable.
• A strong understanding of the business processes supported by these modules.
• Knowledge of accounting entries, transaction flows, and reconciliation across Billing, AR, and General Ledger.
• Experience gathering requirements and working with technical teams to implement solutions.
• Background in application support, functional testing, and issue resolution.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work with business and technical stakeholders.
• A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience.

Location & Work Arrangement

Hybrid opportunities are available in Georgia or Alabama. Remote candidates may also be considered. Quarterly travel is required for in-person planning sessions.
