Job description

Opportunity: People Support Coordinator

This role involves performing administrative tasks to support various HR functions including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, benefit administration, and training.

Career Progression

Pathway: People Support Generalist > People Support Manager > People Support Director

Main Responsibilities

  1. Process, verify, and maintain employee and applicant documentation in HR information systems.
  2. Record and process employee status changes and benefits elections.
  3. Compile and report employee and applicant data.
  4. Assist with new hire paperwork and onboarding.
  5. Explain HR policies and procedures to employees and applicants.
  6. Help employees and applicants complete required forms and procedures.
  7. Coordinate employee communications.
  8. Assist in planning employee events and informational meetings.
  9. Support HR management staff with administrative tasks.
  10. Prepare for and conduct new employee orientations.
  11. Handle special projects such as open enrollment, hotel integrations, and employee review processes.
  12. Maintain current HR knowledge and training.
  13. Follow sustainability practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
  14. Practice safe work habits.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent education, training, or experience required.
  • At least three years of administrative support experience.
  • Two years of HR experience.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable employment, health, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Work Environment

  • Sitting for extended periods and using hands and fingers to operate computers and keyboards.
  • Occasional travel required.
