Responsibilities
- Provide general People Services support as the department resource and manage the day-to-day operations with a focus on recruitment and employee relations.
- Ensure compliance and maintain complete knowledge of all company policies & procedures.
- Proficiently handle all human resources functions, including adherence to state and federal regulations.
- Lead the recruitment process, including posting open positions, using applicant tracking systems, participating in career fairs, and conducting background and reference checks.
- Handle onboarding of new hires and manage the daily administration of team member files in the HRIS.
- Maintain accurate data entry for new hires, terminations, transfers, and promotions, ensuring proper personnel file maintenance.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining Leave of Absence programs, including leave entitlement and FMLA administration.
- Provide guidance on benefit programs such as 401K, vacation, and other benefits.
- Assist with team member room rate programs and premise pass requests.
- Manage benefits administration, including monthly billing reconciliation, enrollment, and plan revisions.
- Support performance management processes, ensuring evaluations are completed timely and properly tracked.
- Partner with the director to organize team member functions, trainings, meetings, recognition events, and engagement surveys.
- Guide department managers in coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions, and addressing employee concerns through our “open door” policy.
- Perform periodic audits of employee files and records for compliance and completeness.
- Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
- Ensure legal compliance in all People Services activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all personnel records.
- Respond to unemployment claims and participate in required meetings and trainings.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A college degree, preferably in Human Resources or a related field; PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
- 2-4 years of professional experience in People Services, especially in a hotel/resort environment.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations at federal, state, and local levels.
- Hands-on leadership in People Services with a service-oriented approach.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and meet deadlines.
- Energetic self-starter with strong leadership, work ethic, and integrity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn HRIS systems.
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication and team relations skills.

Salary range: $65,000 - $72,000 per year.
