Responsibilities
- Provide general People Services support as the department resource and manage the day-to-day operations with a heavy focus on recruitment and employee relations.
- Comply with and maintain complete knowledge of all company policies & procedures.
- Proficient in all human resources functions, state, and federal regulations.
- Lead the recruitment process including posting open positions on job site boards, using applicant tracking systems, arranging/participating in career fairs, and conducting background and reference checks.
- Handle the onboarding of new hires and be responsible for the daily administration of team member files in the HRIS.
- Maintain data entry of new hires, terminations, transfers, and promotions with appropriate personnel file maintenance.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining Leave of Absence programs, including leave entitlement, FAMLI, and FMLA administration.
- Offer guidance on all benefit programs, including 401K plan, vacation, and other ancillary benefits.
- Assist with team member room rate program & premise pass requests.
- Responsible for benefits administration, including monthly billing reconciliation of PPR, assisting with enrollment processes, and plan revisions.
- Assist with performance management and ensure evaluations are completed on time and tracked accordingly.
- Partner with the director to organize and execute team member functions, including NHO, required trainings, quarterly meetings, recognition events, annual engagement surveys, and open enrollment.
- Provide guidance to department managers in coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
- Utilize our “open door” policy to address employee problems or concerns promptly and handle confidential team member investigations.
- Perform periodic audits of employee files and records to ensure all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Prepare documents for annual internal/external audits.
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements related to people services.
- Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of People Services files and records.
- Respond to unemployment claims.
- Attend all hotel-required meetings and trainings.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A college graduate, preferably with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field. PHR or SHRM-CP Certification is preferred.
- 2-4 years of professional experience in People Services and managing staff in the Hotel/Resort environment.
- Understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- A hands-on People Services leader with a servant heart, thriving in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects effectively to meet deadlines.
- Energetic self-starter with strong leadership skills, work ethic, and integrity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows, and able to learn HRIS systems.
- Fluent in English, both verbally and non-verbally, with excellent team member relations skills.

Salary range: $65,000 - $72,000/year.
