Overview

Are you ready to help shape the future of travel and hospitality at the new Hotel Polaris at the U.S. Air Force Academy? CoralTree is seeking an exceptional People Services Manager (HR) to join our team and play a vital role in shaping the success of Hotel Polaris, an instant icon in the hospitality landscape of Colorado Springs. Your efforts significantly influence the unique and distinctive experiences we seek to deliver to our guests and team members alike. Responsibilities
  1. Provide general People Services support as the department resource and manage the day-to-day operations with a heavy focus on recruitment and employee relations.
  2. Comply with and maintain complete knowledge of all company policies & procedures.
  3. Proficient in all human resources functions, state, and federal regulations.
  4. Lead the recruitment process including posting open positions on job site boards, using applicant tracking system, arranging/participating in career fairs, conducting background and reference checks.
  5. Handle the onboarding of new hires and be responsible for the daily administration of team member files in the HRIS.
  6. Maintain data entry of new hires, terminations, transfers, and promotions with appropriate personnel file maintenance.
  7. Assist in monitoring and maintaining Leave of Absence programs, including leave entitlement and FAMLI and FMLA administration.
  8. Offer guidance on all benefit programs including 401K plan, vacation, and other ancillary benefits.
  9. Assist with team member room rate program & premise pass requests.
  10. Responsible for benefits administration including monthly billing reconciliation of PPR, assisting with enrollment process and plan revisions.
  11. Assist with performance management and ensure evaluations are completed on time and tracked accordingly.
  12. Partner with the director to organize and execute team member functions including NHO, required trainings, quarterly meetings, recognition events, annual engagement surveys, open enrollment, etc.
  13. Provide guidance to department managers in coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
  14. Utilize our “open door” policy to address employee problems or concerns in a timely manner and handle confidential team member investigations.
  15. Perform periodic audits of employee files and records to ensure all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  16. Prepare documents for annual internal/external audits.
  17. Ensure compliance with all legal requirements related to People Services.
  18. Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of People Services files and records.
  19. Respond to unemployment claims.
  20. Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
  21. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. A college graduate, preferably with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field. PHR or SHRM-CP Certification preferred.
  2. Experience with 2 - 4 years of professional People Services management in the Hotel/Resort environment.
  3. Understanding of employment laws and regulations at federal, state, and local levels.
  4. A hands-on People Services leader with a servant heart, thriving in a high-volume environment.
  5. Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  6. Energetic self-starter with strong leadership skills, work ethic, and integrity.
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows, and able to learn HRIS systems.
  8. Fluent in English, both verbally and non-verbally, with excellent team member relations skills.
