Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking a People Relations (PR) Partner to advise leaders and employees on a wide range of workplace matters. The role manages employee relations cases from intake through resolution, including disciplinary actions up to termination, with a fully remote, nationwide expectation.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in business or HR and at least 3 years of experience in HR, employee relations, or compliance, with knowledge of employment laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years in HR, employee relations, or compliance.
• Knowledge of state and federal employment laws.

Responsibilities

• Consult and counsel employees and managers on employee relations matters, policy interpretation, conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary processes.
• Collaborate with HR Business Partners, COEs, legal counsel, and investigative bodies to reach effective resolutions.
• Utilize case management system to track and manage employee matters through resolution.
• Interpret and apply understanding of policies and employment laws to provide guidance on inquiries.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with policies.

Position Purpose: This role serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees across the enterprise, providing guidance and support on a wide range of workplace matters while helping ensure fair, consistent, and compliant employment practices. The People Relations (PR) Partner manages employee relations cases from intake through resolution, including formal disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Key Details: The People Relations Partner is fully remote. Candidates will be considered nationally.

Responsibilities:

• Consult and provide advice, counsel and resolution to employees and managers on a broad range of employee relations matters, including policy interpretation and application, conflict resolution, performance management, progressive discipline, and termination processes and practices


• Partner with HR Business Partners, HR Centers of Expertise (COEs), internal and external legal counsel, and other internal investigative bodies, as necessary to reach an effective resolution for employee matters


• Utilize case management system to track and manage employee matters to resolution


• Interpret and apply understanding of company policies and practices, employment laws, and other regulations to provide advice, guidance, or clarification for employee relations inquiries


• Perform other duties as assigned

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field or equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience in human resources, employee relations, or compliance. Knowledge and familiarity with state and federal employment laws and regulations.

License/Certification: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred

Pay Range: $70,100.00 - $126,200.00 per year
