Job summary

The Human Resource and Payroll Specialist at Oakland Museum of California (OMCA) supports HR and payroll administration, including onboarding, benefits enrollment, compliance, and HRIS data management.

You will coordinate payroll with ADP, manage timekeeping, assist with open enrollment, respond to employee questions, and help ensure accurate reporting for federal and state requirements.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years related experience in HR, Benefits and Payroll administration.
• A.A. or B.A. degree in related field; PHR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll management and administration tasks including timecards and deductions.
• Coordinate benefits enrollment and COBRA administration; assist with onboarding and offboarding.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and HR recordkeeping.
• Maintain HRIS data accuracy and collaborate with Accounting on reporting.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and HR policies.
