Job summary

Feed My Starving Children in Schaumburg, IL is seeking an HR Generalist to serve as a trusted management partner, guiding staffing, employee relations, policy interpretation, and leave/accommodation processes within assigned territories.

You will collaborate with management on recruiting, onboarding, performance management, investigations, and HR programs, while maintaining confidentiality and compliance. The role supports a hybrid schedule with occasional local travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 3+ years HR experience preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills required.
• Experience with HRIS and SharePoint preferred.
• Proven collaboration and influencing skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Support staffing efforts, guide employee relations, and interpret workplace policies.
• Oversee leaves of absence and accommodations processes.
• Conduct onboarding, new hire experiences, and exits.
• Collaborate with management on performance management and investigations.
• Coach on change management and conflict resolution to maintain a high-functioning team.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and maintain thorough documentation.
• Generate HR reports and analyze data.
