Job summary

Cavco Industries Inc. is seeking a People Operations Specialist to act as an HR subject matter expert and support attracting, developing, and retaining talent in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include staffing, employee relations, hiring processes, background checks, onboarding, training coordination, and safety compliance. Strong communication and ethical standards are essential; a Bachelor’s degree and 4 years HR experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• 4 years of Human Resources experience.
• Bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identifies staffing needs and fills them via internal and external hiring and retention practices.
• Collaborates with management to maintain employee relations and labor relations processes.
• Manages hiring process: requisitions, recruiting, candidate selection, offers, and orientation.
• Verifies backgrounds, education and references before hiring decisions.
• Conducts exit interviews and ensures compliance with policies and regulations.
• Investigates employee relations issues and coordinates training and engagement activities.
• Counsels management on discipline, improvements, and terminations.
• Adheres to OSHA rules and safety standards on plant grounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
