Job summary

Johnson Brothers is seeking an HR Operations Specialist to support the day-to-day HR operations and employee lifecycle. You will manage HR processes, coordinate onboarding, background checks, and I-9 compliance, and partner with HRBPs and recruiters to ensure a smooth hiring and onboarding experience.

You will also administer benefits, assist with leave, workers’ comp, unemployment, and maintain accurate Workday records, contributing to operational excellence and compliant HR practices.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail.
• Experience handling confidential information with discretion.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of HRIS and HR workflows is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the HR shared services inbox and phone line with timely, professional responses.
• Provide HR customer service across the employee lifecycle and resolve inquiries.
• Serve as primary HR contact for HRBPs, supervisors, and employees on policies and questions.
• Collaborate with recruiters and leaders to ensure smooth hiring and onboarding.
• Coordinate pre-employment activities: background checks, drug screens, and I-9 compliance.
• Review pre-employment screening results in accordance with policy and law.
• Handle communications with candidates and managers throughout the hiring process.
• Create and maintain Workday records and onboarding tasks.
• Coordinate and renew business licenses and sales permits in applicable markets.
