Job summary

Evlo AI is seeking a People Operations Lead to own core HR functions and scale the people-operations infrastructure as the company grows. You will manage onboarding, HRIS data, benefits, and compliance while partnering with leaders to drive engagement and performance initiatives.

The role requires hands-on experience with HRIS and payroll platforms, strong knowledge of employment laws, and excellent communication. This position supports the Atlanta area in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in human resources, people operations, or talent administration in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on experience with modern HRIS and payroll platforms (Rippling, Deel, Workday, BambooHR).
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance standards, and data privacy best practices.
• Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, and HRIS data maintenance.
• Administer US benefits programs, leaves of absence, and payroll coordination with finance teams.
• Maintain HR compliance across federal, state, and local regulations and update employee handbooks.
• Resolve day-to-day employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and company policies with empathy and confidentiality.
• Partner with people leadership to execute engagement surveys, performance reviews, and team-building initiatives.
• Audit HR systems to ensure data integrity across HRIS, ATS, and identity management tools like Rippling or BambooHR.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain HR compliance across federal, state, and local regulations and update employee handbooks
• Resolve day-to-day employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and company policies with high empathy and confidentiality
• Partner with people leadership to execute engagement surveys, performance review cycles, and team-building initiatives
• Audit HR systems regularly to ensure data integrity across HRIS, ATS, and identity management tools like Rippling or BambooHR

What We Are Looking For

• 2-4 years of experience in human resources, people operations, or talent administration within a fast-paced environment
• Hands-on experience with modern HRIS and payroll platforms (e.g., Rippling, Deel, Workday, or BambooHR)
• Strong working knowledge of employment laws, compliance standards, and data privacy best practices
• Exceptional communication skills and rigorous attention to detail handling sensitive personnel data
• Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• Bonus: Experience scaling operations across remote-first distributed teams or holding a SHRM-CP or PHR certification
