Join Our Team as a People Operations & Payroll Analyst
The Porch Group is looking for a dedicated People Operations & Payroll Analyst to manage and optimize HR processes, ensure compliance with company policies and local labor laws, and support employee lifecycle management. This role reports to the Senior Manager, People Operations & Systems.
What You Will Do
- Manage onboarding, employee records, transfers, promotions, and offboarding processes within our HRIS.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of employee data in HR systems.
- Maintain HR systems including Workday and generate regular reports on employee metrics (e.g., attrition, attendance, performance).
- Perform data analysis to identify trends and recommend insights to HR leadership.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Maintain and update employee documentation (contracts, agreements, statutory forms).
- Collaborate with payroll and benefits vendors to ensure accurate salary processing and smooth enrollment processes.
- Verify employee attendance and leave data for payroll calculations.
- Train employees and HR team members on HR tools.
- Address employee queries related to policies, benefits, and HR processes.
- Identify gaps in HR processes and recommend improvements.
- Assist in automating and streamlining repetitive tasks for efficiency.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in HR operations or a related role.
- Familiarity with Indian labor laws and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, Gratuity).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems; Workday experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Experience with payroll systems; Safeguard experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with HR platforms like SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, or similar.
- HR or related certifications (e.g., SHRM, HRCI) are preferred.
