Job summary

Via is seeking a People Operations Associate in Rochester, MN to support frontline employees by overseeing HR processes, policy implementation, compliance, and employee support in a fast-paced environment.

This in-person role focuses on end-to-end lifecycle processes, payroll support, benefits administration, worker's comp, and collaboration with central HR teams to improve processes and reinforce a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in HR operations, employee relations, talent acquisition or a similar role.
• Experience working with unionized employee populations and understanding of collective bargaining agreements.
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, off-boarding, pre-employment requirements, and documentation.
• Manage workers’ compensation and unemployment claims, ensuring timely processing and compliance.
• Serve as a trusted employee advocate, providing day-to-day support and investigations, fostering a positive workplace culture.
