Job summary

Via Transportation, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager in Rochester, MN to support our frontline employees and HR processes. This role collaborates with Via’s central HR team to ensure policy implementation, compliance, and a positive workplace culture.

The position is a hands-on, in-person role based in Rochester with regular travel to other sites. Expect responsibility for onboarding, benefits, payroll support, and employee relations, with a strong emphasis on process and stakeholder

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in HR operations or a similar role.
• Experience working with unionized employee populations and understanding of collective bargaining agreements.
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, off-boarding, pre-employment requirements, documentation).
• Manage workers’ compensation and unemployment claims with compliance.
• Support payroll processes and administer employee benefits including open enrollment and education.
