Job summary

Ronald McDonald House Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana seeks a Human Resources Manager to ensure consistent, compliant execution of people operations. You will work across functions with the Chief People Officer, driving operational excellence and accurate documentation throughout the employee lifecycle.

Responsibilities include onboarding, benefits, leaves, performance processes, and offboarding, plus regulatory reporting and continuous improvement of HR systems and workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible HR/People Operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Experience with HRIS systems and Paycom preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day People Operations processes with accuracy and compliance.
• Administer onboarding, changes, benefits, leaves, performance processes, and offboarding.
• Maintain confidential employee records and proper documentation.
• Coordinate FMLA, ADA, workers’ comp, unemployment, wage-hour requirements, and related processes.
• Prepare reporting, audits, and regulatory filings; ensure SOPs are up to date.
• Support managers with employee relations and performance management activities.
