Job summary

Planet Labs PBC is seeking a People Operations Manager to drive US compliance, EOR operations, and global mobility. This hands-on role requires partnering with Talent, Legal, and HRIS teams to implement scalable processes from hire to retire.

The role is full-time and hybrid, based in Arlington, VA with three days in-office per week. You will manage US immigration, multi-state labor law updates, vendor relationships, and data reporting to support Planet's growth.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a related HR/People Operations role handling HR operations for multiple countries and states
• 2+ years of experience as a people manager
• Direct experience with US immigration/visa processes and regulations

Responsibilities

• Lead Employers of Record operations and coordinate with Talent on new EOR hires
• Own US immigration matters, maintain records and educate stakeholders
• Ensure US multi-state compliance, update Employee Handbook, and collaborate with Legal
• Develop and maintain SOPs; document processes for scale
• Support onboarding and hire-to-retire processes for US-based Partners
• Collaborate on global expansion, HRIS, and data/reporting initiatives
