Job summary

Ace Hardware Corporation is seeking a results-driven operations supervisor to lead day-to-day execution of the strategic vision for the work area. You will plan tasks, assign work, and manage manpower to meet operational needs.

You will monitor performance, coach staff, handle interviews, payroll validation, and reviews while building a safe, efficient team culture and ensuring alignment with company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience; 5 preferred.
• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources.
• Proficiency in Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours.
• Strong Communication skills.
• Ability to operate vehicles, mechanized devices, or equipment.

Responsibilities

• Execute the strategic vision and plan work assignments; manage manpower to meet operational needs.
• Monitor employees and the work process to ensure proper completion; coach your team for success.
• Validate payroll for team members.
• Conduct interviews and select candidates who are a good fit for the company.
• Evaluate employee performance and prepare performance appraisals.
• Resolve employee problems and collaborate with team to drive efficiency.
