Job summary

BoxHouse, INC. in St. George, UT, seeks an HR Manager to own the HR function end-to-end. This on-site role leads policy development, recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and payroll coordination with Finance. The position offers growth as the company scales a fast-growing housing team.

You will build processes, ensure compliance with federal/state/local laws, implement HRIS, and partner with managers to drive performance and retention in a dynamic, on-site work environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive HR experience across multiple HR disciplines.
• Experience building and improving HR processes, not just maintaining them.
• Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance.
• Experience with HRIS platforms.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build trust across levels.
• Ability to operate independently and exercise sound judgment.
• SHRM-CP or PHR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop HR policies, procedures, and compliance programs in alignment with federal, state, and local employment law.
• Lead full-cycle recruiting across departments in support of rapid company growth.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes end to end.
• Serve as the primary resource for employee relations, handling sensitive workplace matters with discretion and sound judgment.
• Administer benefits programs including open enrollment and employee inquiries.
• Partner with managers on performance management and difficult workplace conversations.
• Build and maintain HR documentation including employee handbooks and SOPs.
• Support payroll changes and audits in coordination with Finance.
