Job summary

Stealth Startup in Phoenix/Scottsdale is seeking an hands-on HR & People Operations Manager to build our people infrastructure as we scale. This high-ownership role covers recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and culture, partnering with leadership to shape policies and talent.

You will source candidates, conduct initial interviews, and create a best-in-class onboarding experience for new hires. You should have 5+ years in HR/People Operations, be comfortable navigating changing

Qualifications

• Approximately 5+ years of experience across HR, People Operations, recruiting, or related functions.
• Experience owning multiple areas of the employee lifecycle.
• The ability and willingness to proactively recruit and source candidates.
• Working knowledge of payroll, benefits, onboarding, offboarding, and employee relations.
• Strong judgment when navigating sensitive employee and compensation conversations.
• Experience working directly with company leadership and managers.
• A practical approach to HR that balances the employee experience with the needs of the business.
• Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through.
• Comfort operating in an environment where priorities can change quickly.
• Experience in a startup or entrepreneurial environment is a strong plus.

We're looking for a hands-on HR & People Operations Manager to help us build an exceptional team and create the people infrastructure needed for our next stage of growth.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who enjoys the full spectrum of people operations. One day you may be recruiting a critical new hire; the next you may be improving onboarding, helping a manager navigate a people issue, reviewing compensation, or planning fun activities!

You won't be inheriting a large HR department or layers of process. You'll have the opportunity to shape how we hire, onboard, develop, and support our team as the company grows.

What You'll Own

You'll take ownership across recruiting, HR operations, and company culture, including:

• Managing recruiting from job launch through offer and close

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a well-rounded HR operator rather than someone who has spent their career specializing in only one area of HR.

You'll likely have:

• Approximately 5+ years of experience across HR, People Operations, recruiting, or related functions
• Experience owning multiple areas of the employee lifecycle
