Job summary

City Year Denver is seeking a People and Operations Director to lead site operations, technology strategy, and a dynamic HR function. You will oversee recruitment for AmeriCorps members, partner with senior leadership on culture and staff development, and ensure compliance across safety and facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in operations, recruitment, organizational effectiveness, project management, human resources, people operations, or related functions.
• Experience supporting or leading people-related practices such as hiring, employee relations, performance management, staff engagement, or organizational culture initiatives.
• Experience supporting or managing budgets or resource stewardship.
• Authorized documentation to work in the United States of America.

Responsibilities

• Lead site operations and drive efficient operational impact for City Year Denver.
• Co-design site technology strategy and track assets; oversee AI learning and integration.
• Partner on safety, facilities, and compliance; ensure policies align with local/state requirements.
• Develop and execute external communications with donors and supporters; manage events.
• Recruit AmeriCorps Members locally; onboard and verify onboarding steps.
