Job summary

Amperos Health, Inc. is seeking an HR & People Operations Lead to build and run the people function for the India team.

You will own recruiting coordination, offers, onboarding, documentation, compliance, and payroll administration, establishing structured onboarding, engagement touchpoints, and clear leave policies. You will be the first HR point of contact in India and collaborate with US leadership to understand team sentiment, while building processes that scale.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years in HR operations or people operations supporting India-based teams.
• Hands-on payroll and onboarding experience.
• Knowledge of Indian labour law and compliance (EPF, ESI, tax withholding).
• Experience building HR processes or policies where none existed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruiting, offers, onboarding, and payroll administration for the India team.
• Own end-to-end onboarding and 90-day plans, ensuring access and a clear plan for new hires.
• Maintain HIPAA, data security, and acceptable use training compliance for new employees.
• Build and run engagement cadences, leave policies, and conduct policies across teams.
• Support managers with documentation, performance conversations, and escalation paths.
• Maintain confidential payroll data and ensure audit readiness; handle offboarding and settlements.
