Job summary

FMI, a leading management consulting and investment banking firm, seeks a People Operations Manager to support its People & Culture team from our Raleigh HQ. This hybrid role combines operational HR excellence with practical, business-focused solutions for managers and employees.

You will own talent assessment end-to-end, build role competencies and job descriptions, oversee onboarding, and provide employee relations guidance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field.
• 6–10 years of progressive HR experience with talent assessment and onboarding.
• Proven ability to independently manage HR processes.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws (EEO, ADA, FMLA, FLSA).
• Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end talent assessment process with leadership.
• Develop and maintain role competencies and job descriptions.
• Collaborate on onboarding programs and new hire experience.
• Lead exit interviews and analyze trends.
• Provide employee relations support to managers.
• Manage ADA accommodation process.
• Administer HRIS with data integrity and reporting.
• Support culture, HR projects, audits and documentation.
• Collaborate on workforce planning insights.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws.
