Job summary

Flock Freight is seeking a People Operations Generalist to support the employee lifecycle, total rewards, talent, engagement, and performance initiatives. This role partners with employees and leaders to ensure accurate, compliant processes while delivering an exceptional experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2–3 years HR experience.
• At least 1 year leave administration experience.
• Passion for creating an engaging employee experience.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Self-starter in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong data interpretation for recommendations.
• Experience using HR tech/AI tools to streamline workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets; HRIS/ATS experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage leaves of absence following interactive process.
• Administer leaves per policies and laws.
• Support health/wellness program administration and benefits reporting.
• Collaborate on compensation projects.
• Provide recruitment support (sourcing, scheduling, interviews).
• Assist onboarding for new hires.
• Process terminations and offboarding tasks.
• Handle employment verification requests.
• Maintain data accuracy in HRIS (UKG) and run reports.
• Support compensation reporting and compliance (EEO-1).
• Coordinate HR and wellness programs and communications.
• Build partnerships across People team and cross-functional partners.
• Lead change management initiatives as needed.
• Assess development opportunities and propose solutions.
• Maintain HR records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support special People team projects.
