Job summary

Jewish Family Service of Colorado is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to manage recruitment, training, and HR policy administration. The role supports onboarding/offboarding, performance management, and day-to-day HR operations in an in-office setting.

The position emphasizes compliance with employment laws, employee relations support, and ongoing training initiatives, with access to an LMS and HRIS systems.

Qualifications

• Preferred bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources or related field.
• PHR/SHRM designation is a plus.
• Prior HR management experience preferred.
• Experience with full-cycle recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruitment, including posting roles, screening, interviewing, and coordinating with managers on hiring decisions.
• Execute all tasks involved with full-cycle recruitment with assistance from the HR Coordinator.
• Partner with managers to determine ongoing training needs and administer Training Today (LMS).
• Administer and keep HR forms and policies current in collaboration with the Compliance Manager.
• Support managers and employees with performance management, development, and accountability.
• Assist management with employee relations issues, from coaching to corrective action.
• Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating to CHRO as needed.
• Stay current with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Support culture initiatives, wellness programs, and recognition activities.
• Oversee compliance with required employee background checks.
