Fragile, a hyper-growth hardware rental startup in Greenfield, IN, is seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to manage payroll, onboarding/offboarding, benefits, and compliance for our Greenfield facility. You will serve as a trusted advisor, maintain HR systems, and support a fast-paced operations team.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of HR experience, payroll/bénéfit administration, and strong communication skills, with proficiency in Rippling or Warp and Excel/Sheets.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of HR experience, payroll & benefits administration.
• Experience running payroll end-to-end and with Indiana laws.
• Proficient in Rippling or Warp and Excel/Sheets.
• Excellent communication and confidentiality.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced startup setting.

Responsabilités

• Payroll administration: Execute full-cycle, timely, and accurate payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees; resolve payroll inquiries and maintain records.
• Onboarding & Offboarding: Own onboarding for new hires (background checks, I-9, system setup) and manage offboarding, exit interviews.
• Benefits & Compensation Support: Administer benefit plans, lead open enrollment, manage leave requests, assist with benchmarking.
• Compliance & Recordkeeping: Ensure compliance with federal, state, local laws; maintain audit-ready files.
• Employee Relations & Support: Advise staff and management; handle inquiries and workplace concerns.
• People Operations Upkeep: Maintain HR systems and improve local processes.
