Job summary

Mexcor, based in NW Houston, seeks a Human Resources Generalist to provide onboarding and HR operations support under the direction of the VP of Human Resources, ensuring a positive, compliant new-hire experience. This role manages onboarding activities, including pre-employment requirements, new-hire documentation, employment eligibility verification, system setup, and training coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English highly preferred.
• SHRM-CP, aPHR, or higher preferred.
• HR Coordinator or HR Generalist experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate employee onboarding and new-hire processes.
• Support HR policies, payroll, benefits, leave administration, Workers’ Compensation, employee relations.
• Assist HR leadership and back up other HR functions as needed.
• Prepare HR reports and communications.
• Maintain accurate employee data and records.
• Ensure compliance with record-retention requirements.
• Collaborate with payroll, IT, and departments to resolve issues.
