People Operations Generalist — HRIS, Payroll & Recruitment

Job summary

Discoverasg in MA seeks an experienced People Operations professional to manage HRIS design, payroll processes, recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. The role partners with managers to align HR operations with organizational goals and compliance.

You will develop internal communications, assist with benefits, compensation, and training programs, and coordinate employee engagement activities. The position requires collaboration across teams and occasional travel to support centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field is required.
• 2+ years of recruitment experience are required.
• One year of Human Resources experience is required.
• Additional HR training is a plus.
• Flexibility to work outside normal hours during project peaks.
• Bilingual preferred but not required; fluent in English and Spanish/Portuguese.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development of People Operations objectives and systems.
• Serves as lead liaison between People Operations and stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects.
• Optimizes HRIS processes, integrates new software, and performs diagnostic tests.
• Primary contact for payroll processing including PTO tracking.
• Owns recruitment: drafting job descriptions, postings, resume screening, interviews, offers, onboarding.
• Develops and maintains internal communications (intranet, newsletters).
• Assists in administering benefits, compensation, and performance programs.
• Tracks compliance training and work assessments in the HRIS.
• Administers license assignments in Microsoft 365 and supports IT initiatives.
• Organizes employee engagement events from monthly virtual trivia to annual retreat.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Visits Lawrence Contact Support Center monthly or quarterly to provide People Operations support.
