Job summary

Sinclair, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBGI) seeks an experienced HR Coordinator for its KUTV-TV station in Utah. The role supports recruitment, onboarding, benefits, training, and performance management in a fast-paced media environment.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in HR, excellent communication, confidentiality, and multitasking skills, and will handle on-site HR operations, employee relations, and compliance duties with a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of HR experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a team-based environment delivering friendly HR customer service to employees and managers.
• Develop understanding of our people, work, and culture.
• Ensure compliance with employment regulations (FMLA, FLSA, WC, ADA, EEO).
• Interpret and apply HR policies and procedures.
• Serve as liaison between managers and Regional HR on employee relations, discipline, complaints, and investigations.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, presenting and gathering information.
• Support recruitment processes: post jobs, prepare offers, run background checks, ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate pre-employment communications, track records, and pre-employment requirements.
• Assist benefits administration and Open Enrollment education and communications, participate in audits.
• Support performance management processes and reviews, including compliance tracking.
• Administer leaves of absence per policy and law, respond to unemployment and workers compensation claims.
• Maintain electronic HR records and personnel files.
• Plan and coordinate team trainings, morale events, and activities.
• Maintain strict confidentiality; onsite role.
