Job summary

Sinclair Broadcast Group in Salt Lake City is seeking an experienced HR Coordinator to support the KUTV-TV team and help grow our workforce.

The role encompasses recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, benefits administration, training and development, and performance management. The ideal candidate has at least two years in HR, is highly organized, communicates clearly, and maintains strict confidentiality onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related program of study.
• Minimum of two years of HR experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and multi-tasking skills with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to exhibit a high degree of confidentiality and proper judgement under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a team-based environment, providing excellent HR customer service to employees and managers.
• Develop and maintain understanding of our people, work, and culture.
• Ensure compliance with employment regulations (FMLA, FLSA, Worker’s Compensation, ADA, EEO).
• Interpret and apply policies and procedures.
• Function as a liaison between managers and Regional HR Manager on employee relations matters.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including presenting and gathering information.
• Support recruitment processes (post jobs, prepare offers, background checks) with regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate pre-employment processes and maintain tracking records.
• Support benefits administration and annual Open Enrollment, with audits as needed.
• Assist performance management processes, compliance tracking, and audits.
• Administer leave of absence cases per policy and law.
• Respond to unemployment and workers’ compensation claims and employment verifications.
• Maintain electronic HR records and assist in trainings and morale events.
