Job summary

Vestwell in New York City seeks a Contractor, People Partner to join our People Team and partner with the People Business Partnership Team. You will own onboarding coordination, support employee lifecycle initiatives, ensure data integrity, and help deliver high-quality experiences for Vestwell employees.

This role will work onsite at our NYC headquarters four days per week, focusing on onboarding, compliance, data reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 2 years of HR or People Ops experience in a high-growth tech company or startup.
• Fast learner who can take ownership of unfamiliar tasks.
• Strong organization and follow-through with trackers and deadlines.
• High emotional and social intelligence for diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace and documentation tools.
• Willingness to work in NYC office four days per week.

Responsibilities

• Own onboarding coordination for new hires, including sessions, check-ins, and 45-day reviews.
• Monitor the team inbox, triage requests, respond to routine questions, and route complex items.
• Coordinate and track compliance documents, audits, and accurate records.
• Compile information for routine reporting, audits, and People projects.
• Support stay/exit interviews, surveys, and manager exit documentation.
• Assist with employee lifecycle projects and events in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
