Job summary

Vestwell, a financial technology company, is seeking a Contractor in People Services to support HRIS administration and key payroll, benefits, and compliance tasks. You will maintain employee records in Rippling and handle onboarding, VOE, leave questions, and other inquiries.

You will assist with payroll processing for semi-monthly and contractor payments, ensure compliance with state and federal requirements, and help prepare data for annual reporting and audits.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Google Drive tools (Sheets, Gmail, Docs, Slides).
• 2+ years in People Team or a service-related role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Excellent organizational and follow-through skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy of employee records in HRIS (Rippling).
• Manage People Ops inbox and Tier 1 inquiries (onboarding, VOE, benefits, leave).
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate owner.
• Support HRIS reporting and internal metrics.
• Assist with semi-monthly payroll, benefits, and compliance tasks.
• Support state/federal filing and annual reporting data collection.
• Manage Sparrow for leave requests according to policy (FMLA, etc.).
