Job summary

Cardea Health seeks a People Operations Manager, Benefits & Compliance in Oakland, CA, to lead benefits programs, leave management, compliance, HR data, and workforce reporting. This role partners with leaders to scale processes and reduce risk across a multi-site, nonprofit healthcare environment.

You will support open enrollment, employee communications, and HR technology while ensuring adherence to California laws and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience, including benefits administration, leave administration, HR operations, or employee lifecycle support.
• Strong knowledge of California employment laws, wage/hour regulations, and employee recordkeeping requirements.
• Experience with HRIS platforms, reporting, and multi-site workforce support.

Responsibilities

• Oversee benefits administration, leaves, accommodations, and worker's compensation programs.
• Ensure HR compliance with federal, state, and local laws and internal policies.
• Administer HRIS data integrity and reporting; support audits and process improvements.
• Collaborate with leaders to optimize employee experience and risk management.
