The Role:

We’re seeking a strategic People Operations Advisor to partner with our founding team as we scale our internal team and culture. You’ll help us build the foundation of how we operate — from hiring systems to culture, internal tooling to organizational design. This is an advisory role, ideal for someone with experience scaling People Ops in workforce-heavy or operational environments, who is excited to shape how an early-stage startup grows intentionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on building strong internal People Ops systems — from recruiting to onboarding, policies, performance management, and team rituals.
• Provide input on culture-building in a remote-first, operationally grounded startup.
• Share best practices for managing and scaling distributed, often hybrid teams with operational dependencies.
• Offer insight into compliance, documentation, and internal infrastructure needs for a scaling startup.
• Use your network and connections to help us benchmark, recruit, and stay ahead of People Ops trends.
• Optionally, support product discussions on employer-facing features informed by real HR and people operations needs.

Who You Are:

• People Ops or HR Leader: 3+ years of experience leading or advising People functions at startups, operations-heavy companies, or those with distributed hourly workforces.
• Builder & Advisor: You’ve either built People Ops from the ground up or advised others on doing so — and you know what early-stage teams need to get right.
• Well-Connected: You maintain a strong network of People leaders, recruiters, or HR operators and are comfortable opening doors or helping us benchmark.
• AI-Friendly: You’re curious about how AI can reshape HR and workforce systems and want to help us build something innovative and grounded.
• Candid, Empathetic & Strategic: You’re as comfortable talking about culture and values as you are about comp bands and documentation.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in hospitality, logistics, restaurants, aviation, or related industries.
• Familiarity with HR tech tools, compliance frameworks, or talent scaling models.
• Experience advising startups, either formally or informally.

Engagement Type:

Advisory / Fractional role — light, high-leverage involvement (e.g., 1–2 syncs/month + async feedback). Equity and/or retainer negotiable based on time commitment and experience.
