Job summary

Jackson Hewitt is seeking a Seasonal People Lead to mentor 1st year tax pros, lead trainings, validate tax prep accuracy, and support cohort success. You will facilitate trainings, review operational deliverables, assist with holds and discounts, and provide support via Teams, LogMeIn, and in-person mentorship as applicable.

Responsibilities include screening prospective tax pros, driving growth and retention, and guiding the team with modern technology.

Qualifications

• 2+ seasons of Jackson Hewitt previous tax experience.
• Experience completing individual tax returns.
• Passion for providing extraordinary customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Successful completion of the Jackson Hewitt Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent license is a bonus.

• Proficient in the use of modern technology.
• Answer tax pro calls via Teams or phone.

• Mentor and support teammates, provide guidance and in some cases act as the lead.
• This position has access to and regularly works with information of a sensitive, highly confidential nature which requires a working knowledge of the business.

As a Seasonal People Lead, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and mentorship to 1st year tax pros. You will be facilitating and leading training for all first-year tax pros in your market, assigning additional trainings as needed, validating the accuracy of Tax Preparation of your cohort, reviewing operational deliverables (ie Amex, WFG, NPS), assisting with holds, overrides, voids and discounts, and providing support via Teams, LogMeIn and in person mentorship (as applicable).
