Job summary

Jackson Hewitt is seeking a Seasonal People Lead to mentor 1st year tax pros, lead training, review deliverables, and support holds, overrides, discounts, and inquiries. You’ll guide teams via Teams, phone, and in-person sessions while maintaining confidentiality and a collaborative culture.

The role offers flexible schedules, with full-time seasonal opportunities, and a focus on growth and quality in tax preparation training. CPA/EA credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ seasons of Jackson Hewitt tax experience.
• Experience completing individual tax returns.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Completion of Jackson Hewitt Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent license is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Generate business growth and improve retention for first-year tax pros.
• Proficient in the use of modern technology.

Job description

As a Seasonal People Lead, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and mentorship to 1st year tax pros. You will be facilitating and leading training for all first-year tax pros in your market, assigning additional trainings as needed, validating the accuracy of Tax Preparation of your cohort, reviewing operational deliverables (ie Amex, WFG, NPS), assisting with holds, overrides, voids and discounts, and providing support via Teams, LogMeIn and in person mentorship (as applicable).

• Full-time Seasonal

What you’ll do here:

• Conduct screenings with prospective tax pros.
• Generate business growth, increase first year tax pro retention, and offer support to those within your cohort.
• Proficient in the use of modern technology.
• Answer tax pro calls via Teams or phone.
• Answer tax related questions and provide guidance to tax pros in a timely fashion.
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.
• Mentor and support teammates, provide guidance and in some cases act as the lead.
• This position has access to and regularly works with information of a sensitive, highly confidential nature which requires a working knowledge of the business.
