Job summary

Jackson Hewitt - ERY is seeking a Seasonal People Lead to guide and mentor 1st year tax professionals. You will facilitate training, assign sessions, validate tax preparations, and support the cohort with referrals, holds, overrides, and discounts.

You’ll collaborate via Teams and in-person mentorship, manage performance, respond to inquiries, mentor teammates, and help drive office priorities while handling sensitive information.

Qualifications

• 2+ seasons of Jackson Hewitt previous tax experience.
• Experience completing individual tax returns.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent license is a bonus.

As a Seasonal People Lead, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and mentorship to 1st year tax pros. You will be facilitating and leading training for all first-year tax pros in your market, assigning additional trainings as needed, validating the accuracy of Tax Preparation of your cohort, reviewing operational deliverables (ie Amex, WFG, NPS), assisting with holds, overrides, voids and discounts, and providing support via Teams, LogMeIn and in person mentorship (as applicable).

What you’ll do here:

• Conduct screenings with prospective tax pros.
• Generate business growth, increase first year tax pro retention, and offer support to those within your cohort.
• Proficient in the use of modern technology.
• Answer tax pro calls via Teams or phone.
• Answer tax related questions and provide guidance to tax pros in a timely fashion.
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.
• Mentor and support teammates, provide guidance and in some cases act as the lead.
• This position has access to and regularly works with information of a sensitive, highly confidential nature which requires a working knowledge of the business.
