Job summary

Meijer Inc. Newport, MI is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor for 2nd shift to plan daily shipping and receiving activities and drive department metrics. You will assign jobs, coordinate receiving, put-away, inventory control and sanitation to meet productivity goals.

The role requires leadership experience, strong data analysis and communication skills, plus the ability to manage staffing and safety standards in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management preferred.
• 3+ years of leadership and/or warehouse management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, trains, develops and maintains staffing levels to meet daily goals.
• Identify high potential team members for succession and development.
• Foster positive relationships with team members and Union reps where applicable.
• Ensure adherence to Meijer policies, procedures and practices.
• Establish and monitor DC Scorecard metrics for productivity and efficiency.
• Train, coach and lead teams to achieve performance, quality, cost and service goals.
• Safely operate material handling equipment to move materials as needed.
• Monitor performance, address concerns and implement disciplinary actions when required.
• Evaluate warehouse processes and recommend improvements.
• Handle administrative duties related to production, shipping and quality performance.
