Gillman Home Center in Shelbyville, IN is seeking an Assistant Manager focused on delivering exceptional customer service and leading store and lumber yard teams. You will support the Store Manager, supervise staff, train personnel, and ensure inventories are stocked and accurately managed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 3+ years of retail experience (hardware/lumber preferred), with prior supervisory or management responsibilities. Full-time schedule with benefits included.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory to optimize stock turns and profitability.
• Assist in unloading freight and stocking shelves.
• Support administrative tasks: payroll, scheduling, reporting, deposits.
