Job summary

Family Dollar in Delhi Township, Michigan, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, help customers, and develop the team. You will assist with daily tasks, oversee merchandise, and ensure a clean, well-organized sales floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read and interpret directives is required.
• Experience in store management or supervisory roles in retail environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and fixtures; assist in ordering merchandise and processing returns.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas and secure store assets.
• Ensure adherence to policies including safety guidelines by associates.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of store and restrooms; manage waste and stocking.
