Job summary

Border Foods LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead daily restaurant operations and build a strong, customer-focused team delivering great food with a friendly experience.

This non-exempt role requires flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a minimum of 50 hours per week. It offers education programs, health benefits, and a bonus potential up to $20,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year restaurant or retail experience.
• Experience with sales building, P&L statements, recruiting, and training.
• Proven track record of hiring and retention.
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
• Non-exempt management position is expected to work a minimum of 50 hours per week.
• ServeSafe Certified.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid Driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operate the entire restaurant and build a strong, capable team.
• Ensure a safe, welcoming environment for employees and guests.
• Provide a restaurant that is a safe place for team members to work and customers to visit.
• Schedule and manage the Team performance; hold them accountable for standards.
• Drive fast, friendly service and maintain proper cash handling and POS operations.
• Control labor, inventory, and waste; monitor compliance with policies.
