Job summary

Home Chef is seeking an HR Specialist to join the People Team. You will deliver life cycle HR support for about 500 associates, including attendance, payroll file submissions, leaves administration, and onboarding.

You will also handle policy inquiries, assist with system access, and participate in broader People initiatives. The role requires strong confidentiality, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in HR, with at least 3 years as HR Associate or HR Specialist.
• Strong ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Effective communication across levels and groups.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience onboarding, timekeeping, payroll support, and leaves administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide life cycle HR support for ~500 employees (attendance, onboarding, offboarding, leaves).
• Process payroll files weekly and assist with timekeeping and badges.
• Answer policy questions and guide employees through HR systems (ADP, Kronos).
• Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
• Support HR initiatives aligned with DEI strategy and broader People goals.
• Assist with terminations and light employee relations.
