Job summary

Home Chef’s People Team seeks an HR Specialist to provide life cycle HR support for about 500 associates. You’ll handle attendance management, weekly payroll file submission, onboarding/offboarding, leaves and employee changes, and respond to policy questions with confidentiality.

You will partner with safety and facilities, contribute to DE&I efforts, and help drive People initiatives that enhance engagement and retention in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a two-year program such as an Associate degree.
• 5 years experience in the Human Resources field, with at least 3 years as a HR Associate or HR Specialist.
• Ability to speak effectively to groups of employees.
• Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Strong work ethic and initiative.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities, strong problem-solving skills, good judgement.
• Demonstrate success in designing, leading, and achieving projects and workgroup initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide life cycle HR specialist and admin support to an employee population of approximately 500 employees, including timekeeping, attendance management, onboarding, offboarding and leaves administration.
• Assist employees with Leave of Absence processes and guide them through steps and responsibilities.
• Provide information to help associates navigate workers’ compensation and policy questions.
• Assist associates with system access (ADP, Kronos) and onboarding activities.
• Attend new hire orientation and educate on onboarding actions.
• Process terminations and offboarding effectively.
• Provide light employee relations support and intake for matters.
