Job summary

GBC Food Services, LLC. is seeking an HR Generalist to support the employee life cycle across corporate, field, warehouse, and multi-location teams in Richardson, TX.

You will be the first contact for employees and managers, providing policy guidance and coordinating recruiting, onboarding, benefits, payroll, and leave administration. Responsibilities include HR records, performance management, training, offboarding, and ensuring compliant processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• At least three years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations and manager support.
• Multi-state or multi-location foodservice, retail, hospitality, distribution, or franchise experience preferred.
• SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar certification preferred; travel ability is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the employee life cycle from requisitions through onboarding and offboarding.
• Respond to policy questions; provide guidance and escalate risk.
• Support employee relations through investigations and documentation.
• Coach managers on attendance, conduct, performance, and respectful workplace expectations.
• Maintain HRIS data and confidential personnel records.
• Coordinate benefits enrollment, payroll-impacting changes, leaves, and workers' compensation.
• Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Facilitate new-hire orientation and HR training.
• Partner with hiring leaders on workforce needs and candidate experience.
• Support performance reviews and succession planning.
• Maintain job descriptions, organization charts, and compensation records.
• Analyze headcount, turnover, and HR metrics; report findings.
• Prepare and process payroll.
