SKIMS is seeking an Assistant Store Leader – People & Culture in Bloomington, MN to partner with the Store Leader in building an inclusive, high-performing team and delivering excellent customer service. You will own talent acquisition, onboarding, development, performance, and employee relations to drive store results.

This role emphasizes emotional intelligence, people-first leadership, and a culture of growth and integrity.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in a people leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of hiring, recruiting, onboarding, and performance management best practices.
• Track record of proactively identify talent needs and build a strong pipeline through networking and outreach.
• Experience handling employee relations with professionalism, confidentiality, and empathy.
• Deep understanding of customer service principles and how people leadership impacts business outcomes.
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
• Strong leadership skills by motivating and coaching the team to achieve results.
• Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate interpersonal challenges with fairness and objectivity.
• Ability to build trust and connect authentically with Team Members.
• Passion for the SKIMS brand and embodying our values in interactions.
• Must be able to stand, move around, and be accessible to customers for 100% of the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds regularly.
• Full Time Availability: evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime as needed.
• Does not want to be an influencer.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a Customer Obsessed mindset and coach teams to deliver exceptional service.
• Own talent acquisition responsibilities including outreach, interviews, and hiring.
• Proactively hire and maintain a bench of potential candidates.
• Directly connect hiring strategies to store KPIs and customer experience.
• Lead onboarding experiences to set new hires up for success.
• Schedule and plan labor to meet business demands.
• Identify training needs and build development plans.
• Oversee performance management routines and coaching.
• Manage employee relations with confidentiality and fairness.
• Identify future leaders and build a talent bench for succession.
• Develop engagement strategies to recognize wins and celebrate diversity.
• Ensure compliance with SKIMS policies and labor laws.
• Collaborate with Store Leader and HQ People & Culture on tools and learning strategies.
• Model inclusivity and emotional intelligence in all interactions.
